neighborhood.fyi ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information the neighborhood.fyi iOS app collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Information We Collect

You may use parts of the app without an account. If you sign in with Apple, we receive an account identifier and the name or relay email address Apple chooses to provide. We use this information to operate your account, sync saved homes, and provide referral and purchase features.

• Location and searches. With your permission, the app accesses your location and sends coordinates or selected locations to our service providers and servers as needed to return neighborhood information and maps. For product analytics, we record only available aggregate area fields such as city, county, state, or ZIP—not raw search text, street addresses, POI names, or exact coordinates.
• Saved homes and account data. If you create an account, we store the homes you choose to save and the account data needed to sync them. A saved home can include an address, label, coordinates, city, state, and ZIP.
• Product analytics. We collect app interactions such as feature views, searches selected, saves, paywall interactions, purchase outcomes, and basic device/app information. We use this to understand which features are useful and improve the app.
• Session replay. We use masked session replay to understand app usability. Text inputs, images, and sandboxed system views are masked. We do not enable replay collection of application logs or network request contents.
• Device identifiers. Our analytics, subscription, and crash-reporting providers may generate device or installation identifiers. If you sign in, our analytics identifier may be associated with your app account identifier.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party SDKs, each with their own privacy practices:

• Mapbox. Provides interactive map rendering. Mapbox may collect tile request data in accordance with their privacy policy.
• RevenueCat. Manages in-app subscriptions and purchase validation. RevenueCat collects anonymous purchase identifiers. See their privacy policy.
• PostHog. Provides product analytics and masked session replay. Analytics events and replay data are sent to PostHog's US cloud service. See their privacy policy.
• Sentry. Collects anonymized crash reports and error logs to help us fix bugs. No personally identifiable information is included in crash reports. See their privacy policy.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising.
• We do not use PostHog events to collect raw search text, street addresses, POI names, referral codes, RevenueCat customer IDs, or exact coordinates.
• We do not use analytics data for cross-app advertising or tracking.

How We Use and Retain Data

We use collected data to provide app functionality, maintain accounts and purchases, diagnose problems, measure feature usage, and improve the product. Data is retained only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, legal obligations, and abuse prevention. You may request deletion of your app account from within the app.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple and managed via RevenueCat. We do not have access to your payment information. Purchase history is handled entirely by Apple in accordance with their privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
